Big Meeting
Just call it a hunch, but the fiscal court meeting Tuesday morning should have more fireworks than the 4th of July.

You know about the computer rift that started between Shemwell and Fowler? Basically, there was a charge that the office is not modern enough. As far as that goes, what questions would you ask these fellows? Remember, there is no Rep. running in the fall so the May Primary is all she wrote.
Sometime in April there will be a forum for the countywide candidates. It will be covered by the Standard, New Era, and TV-43. It will also be live on WEKT. There will be a chance for readers to propose questions and the Standard will publish them. But here is your chance to offer up some questions that you'd like to ask the candidates.
In fiscal court today there was a suggestion to call a public Q&A session for the public concerning the jail. Now, no date has been set, but this could be what people are needing (including the Standard) to fill in the blanks. Anybody reading this should call your magistrate and tell them you are in favor of a public meeting, because any member of the court can call a special meeting at any time. If you don't know who your magistrate is, tell me where you live and I'll give you the number.
Hey! I had already ran to the grocery store, checked my survival kit and was ready for a big, crippling snow. I've seen more frost cleaning out my fridge!!!
So who do you think is the frontrunner in the May Primaries? It would be a tough call on some, but with offices like Judge, Sheriff and court clerk... it could go down to the wire. So, who out there is politically savy to give some predictions?
Here is an exercise for the old noodle; who do you think is the most famous or infamous person from Todd County BESIDES Robert Penn Warren and Jefferson Davis?
A few weeks back the county was a buzz with rumors about a military clothing factory coming to the old Flynn's building. Is this dead now? I haven't heard a single thing in weeks.
Oh, the oversized rat saw his shadow. Bad weather for six more weeks. Actually, I think that in the past few years the weather has been worse in the early spring than in January and Feb. I can remember at least one really bad snow in April. So, I guess the real question is, does anyone still NOT believe in global warming anymore?
