Water Rates

Were our water rates too high to begin with?

There just doesn't seem to be a smidgen of the anger over the rates going up here as in Logan County. Those people are ready to skin their fiscal court and city councils.

Did we just have ours too high or did our governments do a better job of seeing this coming?

Gee, I don't know much about water rates. Thankfully we have access to a wonderful, plentiful well as a water source.

I've heard that county/city water bills are high though.

Wish we had a good well, but we pay about $40 per month for about 4,000 gallons of Nashville sewer water. We distill it in a water distiller before drinking it because the people who work at the water plant told us they do not drink it due to the large amount of chemicals added to it. Since a family member has been diagnosed with cancer, we learned that taking a bath or shower in it without a filter is worse than drinking it due to the chlorine becoming a gas when heated and going into one's skin & lungs. Some even say it causes cancer. This water is extremely costly in more ways than one.
