Closed meeting in Guthrie

This information came too late for last week's newspaper, but the City of Guthrie had a closed session during its regular meeting to discuss the possible acquisition of land.

Could this mean there has finally been a budge on the Kentucky side of the border when it comes to a big factory? To be honest, this couldn't come at a better time for Todd County — even if it is a small factory — the unemployment has held steady at around 13 percent for months.

This could be the first boost to come directly from Hemlock Semiconductors being located right across the border...

Anonymous, Get your facts straight. Guthrie has great high speed internet service and our property values are going to far exceed that in elkton. I give Guthrie 10 years, and It will double the size of elkton with population and economically.
