Big Factory comes to Clarksville
A multi-billion dollar investment on the Jim Johnson Road, which runs right into Todd County from Tennessee, will be announced today (Monday).
The company, Hemlock Semiconductor, was once looking at Todd County and will build its poly silicon plant on the TVA certified megasite in Clarksville.

What will this mean for Todd County? Well, it is the largest industrial project in Tennessee history. Also, there are rumors that there might be supply factories coming and some of those companies might be coming to Kentucky (i.e.: Todd County).
So, even though the factory didn't come here, how do you think it will affect us?

This will be great news if the people of todd county-ky can become employed and work there.Jobs at a company like this sounds like you will need very high tech and specific training and jobs skills.Doubt if a high school diploma and graduate can be employed there without the high job skills needed. Now may be the time to get and learn the job skills and training , while the factory and company location is being built.
Wow, I'm sure the grammar nazi in you can't rest until we have it fixed so it is now AFFECT.
Don't let things effect you so much ...
OK, before you explode again, that was a joke...
Somebody has to look over your shoulder to keep you on the right track....

Largest industrial project in TN? Larger than the building of Oak Ridge during WW2? I'm not thinking so...
With the Hemp-Lock Corporation building a new factory in clarksville,tn and very close to guthrie,ky now would be the time while they are going to be building the factory over the next 02 to 04 years to get new job and tech skills training. With the base pay for workers in this factory going to be between $70,000.00- and $90,000.00- dollars per year it be a good investment in a person future to get the skills and training to land and get a job with hemp-lock.
they will probably bring in workers from mexico so dont get your hopes up!
