An experiment for the ages

So, here is a blog just about what goes on in Todd County. Have an axe to grind or a recipie about skunk soup? It'll be all here for your viewing pleasure.

This blog will be anounced in the newspaper this week and we will start posting after that.

Good luck and I hope to hear from as many people as there are computers in Todd County.

Skunk, Marting Jones is a consultant... I think he is paid per job... that might be tough to nail down until the end of the fiscal year.

Is there any word on the street about an injunction being filed to halt the building of a new jail?

I find it hard to believe that some of the rumors I hear about the current jail and how it is run are true.

Could you please do an investigative story about the jail to sort out fact and fiction?

Administrator -- if Martin Jones is a consultant that is paid per job, does the county pay him or does the city? What government body pays him? Is there figures that will publicly comes out in somebody's June budget for a fiscal year?

I'll get back to you on who pays what, but I think it comes from the county and cities or perhaps idus. recruitment...

Martin Jones was hired by the Todd County Industrial Foundation as a consultant. The cities of Elkton and Guthre have contributed to the Industrial Foundation for the last three years. The County contributed the two previous years, but I am fairly certain they did not contribute this fiscal year. I;m not sure of any other contributions to the Industrial Foundation.

The Industrial Foundation has a website at http://www.toddcountyky.com/

"I've heard" that Mr. Jones has brought in more industry for Hopkinsville than for Todd County. Come to think of it, has there been any new industry brought into Todd County during his tenure.

Hey I'm new @ this but I don't think Hopkinsville works with Todd Co. on Industrial Recruitment. I haven't seen anything in the newspapers. I am also curious that if the cities and industrial foundation are providing funds for industrial recruitment, why isn;t the county putting forth the same effort??
